Caringbah Bakery: Flour Cafe

Flour Cafe

Caringbah Bakery, Flour cafe is tucked away in the backstreets of Caringbah South. It is a delightful cafe that’s been quietly serving up some of the best baked goods in the Sutherland Shire for about a year now. I’ve driven past this busy spot almost daily and hesitated to stop in due to the crowd. Well, what a mistake that was, this cafe is an absolute treasure! Recently, my partner and I walked over mid-morning for a coffee and a bite. I was blown away by what we discovered.

The Caringbah Bakery Pastries

Flour’s assortment of pastries is nothing short of spectacular, offering both sweet and savory options that make it hard to choose. While there were tempting quiches and toasted sandwiches on offer, I opted for the chorizo and white bean danish to share. It was a flavourful, hearty delight that set the bar high from the start. This Caringbah Bakery is the best in the Shire.

I ordered a latte, my partner ordered a long black, they were spot on, just what we needed. But the real treat came next: a pistachio, cranberry, and white chocolate scroll that we grabbed for takeaway. We devoured it on the way home, and it was every bit as indulgent and delicious as it sounds.

Flour’s pastry selection is beyond impressive. On my next visit, I have my eye on the saffron and vanilla scroll, cinnamon scrolls, a cookies and cream twice-baked croissant, and an heirloom tomato danish. Every creation seems to offer a unique and expertly crafted flavour combination that’s simply irresistible.

In short, this bakery cafe has quickly become a new favourite of ours. It’s a dangerous indulgence (all those delicious calories!). We have already stopped in two more times since that first visit—and honestly, we are going to keep going back. Flour is hands down the best bakery cafe we’ve come across in the Shire. They serve fresh, high-quality pastries with incredible flavour pairings that keep you coming back for more.
