Discovering Jam Record Bar: A groovy hidden gem in Sydney

Jam Record Bar

The other night, while wandering down George Street in Sydney, we stumbled upon the coolest little spot – Jam Record Bar. From the outside, it had that intriguing retro vibe that just pulls you in, so naturally, we decided to pop in for a quick drink. What a find!

Walking inside, the atmosphere was immediately inviting. The retro decor gave the bar a laid-back, old-school feel, and I was totally captivated by their collection of records lining the walls. It felt like stepping into a time machine, but with all the right modern touches to keep it fresh.

Groovy music filled the air, setting the perfect backdrop for an impromptu evening out. With just enough dim lighting to feel cozy but vibrant enough to feel alive, Jam Record Bar struck the perfect balance. You could tell this was the kind of place where people come to vibe, relax, and soak in some great tunes.

We weren’t planning on staying long, but the cocktail menu caught our eye, and how could we resist? I decided to go for the Tokyo Banana, which turned out to be an absolute flavor bomb. Made with Basil Hayden bourbon, banana whey, and Okinawa caramel, it was potent but deliciously rich in flavor. Every sip was full of warmth and sweetness, but not overly so—it was the perfect combination of smoothness and punch.

My partner, true to form, stuck to his classic espresso martini. He’s a die-hard fan, and Jam Record Bar did not disappoint. It was as smooth and indulgent as he hoped, the perfect drink to complement the groovy atmosphere.

After our quick drink, we reluctantly left, but Jam Record Bar is officially on our list of places to return to. Sometimes, the best experiences come from spur-of-the-moment decisions, and this one hit all the right notes. Whether you’re a cocktail lover, a record enthusiast, or just someone looking for a cool, low-key spot in the city, Jam Record Bar is definitely worth checking out. I know we’ll be back for round two!

See you soon, Jam!
