Foxtrot Unicorn: A Favourite Hidden Bar

Foxtrot Unicorn

Nestled discreetly behind an unmarked entrance in Perth’s CBD, I discovered Foxtrot Unicorn, a hidden bar that instantly transported me to another era. Walking in, I felt like I had stepped into a time capsule. The eclectic decor and vintage charm created an atmosphere full of character and intrigue. Despite being on my own, I felt completely at ease. The warm, friendly vibe made it easy to pull up a seat at the bar and enjoy the experience.

Finding the bar is an adventure

That said, finding Foxtrot Unicorn was no easy feat. The bar’s unassuming entrance is tucked away so well that I walked past it several times while trying to locate it. I laughed to myself at how elusive it was, I felt like I was on a treasure hunt. When I finally stepped inside, the effort felt completely worth it. The dimly lit space is packed with vintage Australian memorabilia—faded beer posters, antique signs, and quirky relics that celebrate Aussie pub culture. Every detail, from the mismatched picture frames to the nostalgic knick-knacks, felt thoughtfully curated. The old wooden tables, leather bar stools, and chesterfield couches added to the cosy, intimate vibe, making it the perfect spot for quiet reflection or a lively conversation.

As I sipped on a beautifully crafted whisky and snacked on their delicious olives, I couldn’t help but soak in the unique energy of the hidden bar. Each corner of Foxtrot Unicorn told a story, from the vintage phone booth to the retro glassware lining the shelves. The layered decor and laid-back atmosphere felt like a celebration of Australia’s past. This made this bar so much more than just a place for drinks. For me, it was a welcoming retreat—timeless, quirky, and completely unforgettable.
