Lamiak is a bohemian Basque tavern on Madrid’s lively Cava Baja, serving a wide selection of tapas, pintxos, sharing plates, wines and cocktails. The venue has a relaxed, atmospheric feel and is a good place to drop in for a drink and a few small plates while exploring La Latina.
I visited Lamiak as part of a Madrid tapas tour while travelling solo. By this point in the evening I was already enjoying the experience of travelling with the group I'd met on the tour, and Lamiak was one of my favourite stops. I loved the relaxed atmosphere, the pintxos and the chance to sit, eat and chat rather than feeling like I was dining alone.
A good option for solo travellers looking for casual tapas and pintxos, particularly if you prefer eating at a bar rather than committing to a formal sit-down meal.
